Online popularity...

So maybe you're not Miss or Mr Popularity in real life. But faking it in the cyber world is a little easier, thanks to social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook and Friendster.

Here are a few tips

1. Start by signing up at one or even all of the websites.

2. Customize your page so it looks like you have lost of things to say. This gives people more things to comments about. Facebook lets you add applications like games, quizzes and even a graffiti wall, which encourage interactions with your friends.

3. Then start adding some people to your friends list (you can start with people you actually know) then go through their friends list to see who else they have added. See somemore you've only met once or twice? That could count as a friend, so start adding friends to your list!

4. when you've got your list build up, don't forget to leave messages , comments and post items on your friends' page. That way, you'll be building up your presence and other people will notice you too. This will get people to come and visit your page, and leave messages while they're there. Online popularity isn't just about the number of firneds you have - it's also about staying in touch and the amount of interaction going on between you and a person.
