The definitive method to deal with Mountain Lion encounters. I love it when they give reasonably good advice for the first two panels on the left and then ask you to fight back when attacked. Duh? Of course you gotta fight back! Not sure if shouting might work though. I’m sure Mas Oyama won’t have a problem with no puny lion but heck we ain’t all karate experts.

The entire B-2 stealth bombing fleet has been grounded after a one of the jets crashed near a military base in Guam. The stealth bombers played an important role in all major conflicts since 1999. The £610 million plane crash has been touted as the most expensive single aircraft accident in history. Although it's not been confirmed but officials feel that the crash was caused by either mechanical failure or human error. However they have grounded the B-2s to ensure there is not some primary fault developing in the 21-strong fleet. The two-crew members on board the bomber managed to eject safely before the crash, which occurred at 10.40am Saturday near Andersen Air Force Base, on the American island territory, 3,700 miles southwest of Hawaii.

The B-2, which can carry 50,000 lb of ordnance and can drop up to 80 bombs in a single run past a target, is equipped to carry nuclear weapons.

There’s something scarily beautiful about an atomic bomb explosion … this one is from the nuclear test "Licorne", where the French Army detonated a 914 kiloton thermonuclear device in the Mururoa Atoll on July 3, 1970. It was the fourth nuclear test and largest.

It’s true, it’s true. While the Xbox 360 HD DVD drive is DYING SOON due to the dead HD DVD, retailer like Best Buy has dropped the priced to $49.99(RM160.66). That’s an ‘Ouch!’ for those who had gotten it for $199(RM639.54) last time. $49.99(RM160.66) is pretty cheap, you can still use it as a DVD player, a DVD player that supports HD DVD playback.

Intel is working on the six-core chip called the Dunnington. This six-core Dunnington microprocessor will use the three dual core 45 nanometer Penryn processors with a shared 16MB L3 cache. The chip will be succeeded by Nehalem micro-architecture which has better support than eight cores. It is still under wraps, no words on the availability.

Problem: poor condom sales
Solution: Bend the rules and slap on a photo of soccer star David Beckham and watch the profits roll in …

Yes, it’s true: a Chinese manufacturer named its condoms after the soccer super star (without his permission). The David Beckham condom brand is now the best-selling brand in China. I suppose everyone wants to do it like Beckham!

Although the Beckham contraceptive is not being endorsed by the former England captain himself, its makers claim that the users will score in the bedroom like David does on the pitch.

"We do not want Beckham to think the Chinese people are disrespecting him. We love him here," the Sun quoted one as saying.

Beckham's agent Simon Oliveira said: "It's not an official brand."

It adopts a 65nm process and is manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The GPU has been increased by two times, 64, and memory bus width, 256-bit, compare to 8600 GTS cards which are 32 and 128-bit. The GPU’s performance has increased up to 40% comparing to the 8600 GTS. This new GPU also comes with the Dual-Streaming Decode technology which allows two high-definition image decoding processes to be performed at the same time and provides picture in picture (PIP) functionality. So gamers don’t get too worried about the price, it seems to be affordable – priced at between $169(RM544) and $189(RM608).

Being single on Valentine's Day is never easy. So resolve now to get yourself back in the dating game with these six steps:

  • Look at dating as a learning experience. So, you've had bad dates. Don't get discouraged! In dating, like everything else you do, practice makes perfect. After all, the whole object of dating is to find out what you do (and don't) want in a potential partner. Keep an open mind and you may be surprised at what you learn about yourself through dating.
  • Be true to you. When you try to be someone else, you're less likely to find "the one" who is right for you. We all want to make a good impression on a first date, but don't be so concerned about being perfect that you end up pretending to be someone you're not. You are looking for someone with whom you're compatible. That means taking a deep breath, relaxing and being you.
  • Make a list and check it twice. Take a moment to write down the qualities that you want in a partner. We all have a mental list of "must haves," but putting it down on paper makes it easier to identify the traits you are seeking. Otherwise, you may end up dating "that cute guy/girl you have nothing in common with" rather than finding someone you truly mesh with.
  • Know why you're dating. It's OK to want to casually date rather than find a long-term relationship. But it's important to figure out what you want out of dating before you start the process. If you're seeking something long-term, make sure you're really "ready" and have resolved any baggage from previous relationships. One of the biggest mistakes is re-entering the dating world prematurely. You may meet the most amazing person, but if you're not truly ready, you'll overlook him/her.
  • Keep it light and fun. Remember, you're supposed to be having a good time on your dates. You don't have to be out with the man or woman of your dreams to enjoy yourself. If you've agreed to a date: dress up, enjoy your meal and conversation, and don't worry about whether it'll lead to date number two. Chances are, if you've been having fun, it will!
  • Take a fresh look at your online dating profile. If you aren't getting enough replies, add new photos that help people see who you are and why they ought to meet you. Choose photos that show you doing activities you enjoy. Likewise, look at your profile statement. Be specific about who you are and the kind of people you want to meet. Finally -- make the first move. Write to interesting people you find in your searches -- why wait for them to contact you?

So, enough with the tips -- it's time to get back out there. Just because you don't have a special someone this weekend doesn't mean you won't have a date for next Saturday! Each date connects you with someone new. And, because dating is a numbers game, sooner or later you will meet someone who clicks with you.

1. You don't want to be judged for your looks; we don't want to be judged for our wallets. Unless we're ugly and have lots of money. Then it's OK.

2. You're not the only person
who likes to be called "sexy."

3. Saying "I love you"
is a major step in a man's life. That's why we wait for you to take that step first.

4. We are not being cheap
when we make $35,000 a year and can't afford to pay every single date. We are merely being practical.

5. A guy who spends too much time
in the gym is making up for something else that's lacking. Unfortunately, you can't figure out what it is until it's too late.

6. Don't get mad at us
because we don't remember what you were wearing on our first date, or the angle of the light during our first kiss. We were probably drunk.

7. You're good in bed
if you make us feel like stallions.

8. Jealousy isn't a sign
that you love us more, it's a sign that you trust us less.

9. Hanging up on us
is a surefire way to make sure we go to bed mad.

10. We're sorry. Whatever it is, we're sorry.

If I remember correctly the bottom number means how many feet away you are supposed to be from the chart. So if you can read the 20/20 line at 20 feet away you have 20/20 vision.

Happy Valentine's Day

Sheridan College in Ontario was locked down last Friday because it was suspected a gunman was on the premises. Thankfully, it was a false alarm, but how do you mistake a gunman? Apparently, all it took was a lone photographer, some camouflage cargo pants and his free-standing tripod.

The emergency services were alerted by a professor and his eight students, who all reported they had seen a suspicious man carrying a "long, tubular object." Following a campus lockdown and a thorough two-hour search, nothing was found. Information incoming across the weekend has indicated a photographer with a tripod was the reason for the disturbance, though he has yet to be located and spanked for all the fuss he caused. Let this be a lesson to you camouflage-cargo pants-wearing weirdos; don't wear camouflage cargo pants. You're not in the army, you suck. Talking of things that suck, according to a satirical joke we are about to make, the NRA was said to be very disappointed about there being one less gun on the streets. We don't doubt it.

Nokia N96

The N96 is pretty similar to the Symbian 60-powered N95 we've all come to recognize as Nokia's 5MP GPS finest, but with 16GB of internal memory and a 2.8-inch screen. This model also has a built-in DVB-H receiver for digital TV signals in Europe and Asia, and a kickstand for desktop viewing. Also new are the backlit touchbuttons on the face, dialpad and top slider section of the phone. When playing media, they show the typical play/pause/ff/rr functions; when gaming on the N-Gage gaming platform, they show control pad buttons. Approx $800, but likely no US 3G support.

At first he built a gas and liquid fuel pulse jet from scratch using instructions he found online then strapped it on the shopping cart that he found in a river. Lol...river.

Does it worry you if NASA decided to send out the beetle's song to Polaris? What if aliens misinterpret and think that we are a world that wants to rule the universe, I mean what if the default translator in their most advanced technology doesn't do a decent job or isn't updated with the latest edition of Microsoft Encarta??? Well Dr Douglas Vakoch of the SETI Institute, which has been leading the search for extraterrestrials, told New Scientist magazine: "Before sending out even symbolic messages, we need an open discussion about the potential risks." They voiced fears that advertising humanity's place in the universe - as happened last week when Nasa broadcast a Beatles track towards the North Star - could attract the attention of aliens who are less friendly than ET. For the last 20 years, it has used radio telescopes to scan the skies for alien radio messages. After getting nothing but static, some of its researchers have decided that listening for aliens is not enough. Instead, they say, we should be actively sending out friendly signals to the stars. Radio waves, like other forms of electromagnetic radiation, travel at the speed of light - around 186,000 miles per second. This means it would take a radio broadcast four years to reach the closest star, Alpha Proxima, which is just over four light years aways.

Dr Richard Gott, an astrophysicist from Princeton University, told New Scientist: "SETI's big mistake is that it's relying on ET to do all the heavy lifting."We'll all just be sitting round listening, but nobody's doing any talking. Let's hope our future generations' thanks us for doing this as they are the ones who may have to bare the brunt.

If you’re afraid of being in a bank during a bank robbery, don’t go to the bank on Friday mornings between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Banks used to have more money on a Friday because it was historically a payday. Also, bank robbers believed that there’s more money in the bank at the beginning of the day rather than the end. Interestingly, banks in the supermarkets are actually safer than a regular bank branch.
