The China’s Olympics stadium also known as the “Bird’s Nest”, cost around $500 million and took 7 years to build. The stadium fits in 91,000 people and will host both of the opening and closing ceremonies, and also all of the athletic events for the 2008 Olympics.

Besides that, it has also inspired some Chinese villagers in Hangzhou city to make a smaller and cheaper version of the bird nest stadium. 10 bamboo master used 1,000 pieces of bamboos to build a Miniature Bird’s Nest stadium in the village. They have completed it in 2 weeks time. They also plan to organize some sports events in that nest such as beach ball, bow shooting, loop rolling, etc.

Alright, that’s a little “burn” when happen in big event. This picture was taken at the Beijing Opening Ceremony, encountering the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

“At the exact moment Li Ning was rounding the lip of the Bird’s Nest during the amazing torch-lighting climax, someone snapped this photo of our good friend the BSOD.”

The 2008 Olympics in Beijing has magnetized thousands of tourists. Well known in China, the trishaw or tricycle, bringing tourists around the streets. But it looks like Mini was involved in this traditional Chinese transport. Obviously it is heavier than others standard trishaw, I wondered if that man give a higher charges if you seat on his leg-powered Mini.
